HOLIDAY
Fine Arts Professors Tara Fracalossi and Thom Lail have works included in “HOLIDAY,” an exhibit and sale of small, affordable work created by more than 300 artists, at LABspace, an art gallery in Hillsdale.
The public is invited to an opening reception from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14. Many of the participating artists will be in attendance. The exhibit will remain through Feb. 23, 2025, with open hours from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. LABspace is located at 2642 NY-23, Hillsdale, NY.
REPEAT PLAY:
The Art of Pattern
Fine Arts and Digital Media faculty members Professor Tara Fracalossi and Richard Garrison, a long-time adjunct instructor, have works included in “Repeat Play: The Art of Pattern,” an exhibition at the Pine Hills Branch of the Albany Public Library that opened on Dec. 6.
“Repeat Play: The Art of Pattern” brings together nine regional artists who use repetitive shapes, marks and colors to create systems and interrelationships in their work. Fracalossi and Garrison share the exhibit space with Ali Herrmann, Willie Marlowe, Jean-Marc Superville Sovak, Sarah Tack, Stephen Tyson, Michael Van Winkle and Deborah Zlotsky.
The exhibition is on view through May 2025 during regular library hours: noon to 2 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Pine Hills Library is located at 517 Western Ave., Albany.
